Tasked with developing the gateway building into a new urban design proposal, we looked to cultural inspiration of two dancing cranes to express the introduction to the development. The tower itself is two office towers that will become the headquarters for an undisclosed tenant, that are joined at the middle to create a unified gesture. The conceptual framework of the project drove the initial stages but soon after the geometric ruleset took over. The towers themselves are based on descriptive geometry that is tightly controled to allow for maximum geometric expression with minimum change.

The center two facades are tiled to allow for minimum panel permutations and optimization of the distinct form. The twisted surfaces themselves account for the entrance to both towers, the middle bridge, and the crown articulation in one continuous gesture.
The bridge itself was seen as a way to connect both office towers at a flexible unified gathering space adjacent to food courts and other breakout spaces. This allows for interaction between sides without disrupting the potential split between rental and owned office space.

The facade enhances the dynamic expression with a vertical triangular profile that simply shifts its apex from one side to the other. Each of the verticals contains 6 permutations of profile to create the dynamic effect that is composed in a way to enhance the vertical lift of the tower. The materiality is in a terracotta fin, reflective low iron glass, and bronze accents.
